This was painted during my recent trip to the Publisher's Invitational, the annual week-long gathering of approximately eighty plein air painters in the Adirondacks, the brainchild of and hosted by Eric Rhoads. Each day we would venture forth to capture another scene.
This was from our trip to a beautiful farm in the Adirondacks about forty five minutes from our home base, Paul Smith College. I set up on the front lawn of the farm and made the apple tree my principal focus. It was a warm, sunny day although the New York humidity was mercifully low compared to Kentucky in June.
