This my latest painting, “Jack”, oil on panel, 9” x 12”. I have wanted to paint this little fellow for years and finally was able to shoot a reference photo of him when he was visiting when our granddaughter came over recently. It would be difficult to communicate exactly how much he meant to my daughter when she was growing up. A present from her grandmother on Easter of her first year, Jack and she were inseparable, the one stuffed animal out of many who became her daily companion. I came to believe he had a soul and it was gentle.
