This is an 18” x 36” oil on panel, the full size master painting of a grouping of pink dogwood blossoms on the tree next to my driveway that I’ve painted several times this spring. It has me really wishing the actual blossoms would stay around longer before we get into those long hot days of summer around here. Its title is Pink Dogwood Blossoms. I experimented with using a painting knife on portions of this as an augmentation to my usual brush. I like the somewhat abstract nature of some of the passages where I used the knife but still feel more comfortable with a brush in hand. Feel free to give me your opinion if you wish.
